I already have a saltwater fishing license in SC and I’ve never gone shrimping before so if there are any pointers those are welcome also.

alright im going to new hampshire at the mouth of a river and fishing off a dock into saltwater/freshwater (kinda a mix but much more saltwater) and im looking to catch small stripers. well im using a llbean light saltwater reel with a six foot freshwater rod rod (im 13).my line is 6lb test which i think is more than enough. and i was wondering what type of bait i should use ? also if i can make any inprovements to my set.
i have all different sized hooks any where from 1/0 to 8/0 I was thinking 6/0 or mby 4/0. and i have one of those three hooks in one that i think is size 8/0

i have some frozen shrimp (which i use to eat) would that be good bait if i cut it up into small chunks ?

also is deep sea better than shore fishing
