Slow down….
GSP ARE saltwater fish, but they only need it when they’re adults. As they grow, gradually increase the salinity of the water.
Here’s a guide that tells when to start increasing the salinity: http://www.aquatic-hobbyist.com/profiles/brackish/gsp.html
Dont let anybody tell you not to do that. Cause people will whine and complain but i just acclimated mine like i do fish from stores. If you have a saltwater tank just slowly add the water from the tank to the bag and throw him in after you have replaced the bag with 100% water from the tank. Do one half cup at a time its kind of slow but for a gsp anything. He will be so much happier too.
slowly add the salt. GSGs are brackish water fish although they can live in salt water.donnot use aquarium salt. go to http://www.greenspottedpuffer.net they have some of the best advise they also have instructions on how to cange the water if. if you are a begginer fish keeper send it back to the store,or surrender it to greenspottedpuffer.net they
have a adoption page. if you are a begginer surrender to them for the sake of your fish.
