hi im considering buying a baitcast b.c ive been watching fishing shows. are they easy to use? im used to spinning reels and with baitcasts ca u put sinkers and floats on like other stuff and how do u use them. are they better then spinning reels ext. and if i have a buzz bait do u just use that nothing esle on it. also can i use it in saltwater b.c i like going salt water fishing and also if there a lot of maintaice in it.

I’m thinking of buying my first boat. I’ve heard all the money pit comments and that the second best day of owning a boat is the day you sell it, the first being the day you buy it. To me, the days in between, of actually being on the water catching fish, would melt any money issues. What do we work for? I’m in MA, will be fishing the saltwater exclusively so I’ll need at least a 24 ft boat for the chop around here. Thinking of getting a cuddy for some overnight striper fishing. For about k probably looking at a 10 year old Sea Ray inboard. For some reason outboards seem like they’d be easier to maintain so that’s an option also. I surf fish about 40 times a season, so using the boat will not be an issue. Any comments from fishermen who boat fish would be greatly appreciated.
